To encourage construction of new multi-unit rental housing projects, there is a corporate income tax rebate equal to 10 per cent of the rental income generated from newly constructed multi-unit rental projects, for a period of up to ten years. When combined with other housing initiatives, it’s expected to encourage the construction of an additional 10,000 new rental units in the province over the life of the program.

Collected under the authority of The Vehicles Administration Act, 1986.

Basis

Motor vehicle fees are charged on vehicle registrations, permits, licences and other services such as driver record searches.

The fees are collected by SGI.

Rate

Registration fees are determined on the basis of the classification of the vehicle, the gross vehicle weight and the vehicle axle weight.
