Minister of Finance

The most recent documents released were the 2016-17 Ministry Plan, released with the Budget on June 1, 2016 and the 2014-15 Annual Report, released in July of 2015.

The Ministry Plan for 2016-17 demonstrates how the Ministry aligns with Government's vision and goals and presents a high level framework for the Ministry of Finance's activities in 2016-17. Contained in this plan are the strategies and actions that will be pursued in the upcoming year, measures to gauge progress and a financial summary.

The 2015-16 Annual Report presents the Ministry's activities and results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016.  It reports on public commitments made and other key accomplishments of the Ministry.  The Annual Report is tabled in the legislature on or before July 29, 2016 and communicates both financial and non-financial results achieved over the past year.

Ministers are required by The Government Organization Act to prepare and submit to the legislature annual reports for each agency that he or she is responsible.  Finance's website provides links to the plans and annual reports for executive government ministries and those Crown agencies that follow Finance's guidelines for public reporting.
