The most recent documents to be released were the 2012-13 Ministry Plan, released with the Budget on March 21, 2012 and the 2010-11 Annual Reports and Highlights sheets, released in July of 2011.

The Ministry Plan for 2012-13 demonstrates how the Ministry aligns with Government's vision and goals and presents a high level framework for the Ministry of Finance's activities in 2012-13.  Contained in this plan are the strategies and actions that will be pursued in the upcoming year, measures to gauge progress and a financial summary.

The 2010-11 Annual Report presents the Ministry's activities and results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011.  It reports on progress towards Government's commitments and other key accomplishments of the Ministry of Finance.

Ministers are required by The Government Organization Act to prepare and submit to the legislature annual reports for each agency that he or she is responsible.  Finance's website provides links to the plans and annual reports for executive government ministries and those Crown agencies that follow Finance's guidelines for public reporting.

In addition to the legislatively required annual reports, ministries and agencies have also developed short executive summaries or "highlights" for the reader to obtain information about the ministry "at a glance".  Finance welcomes comments on these documents through the Performance Management Branch
